The plugin supports variable products and you can add them as components to a composite product but a composite product cannot be variable since ‘variable’ and ‘composite’ are two different product types.
Yes it has the option to replace the product image with the thumbnail of the component selected. This option is available when adding the component to the composite product.
Yes it is possible since WooCommerce manages the composite products like any other product added to the cart.
The plugin allows you to create a net of dependencies to which you can assign a name and a description and specify how the components are going to interact with each other.
Yes if you enable the option “Per-item pricing” the plugin allows setting a percentage discount for each component of the composite product.
